Kidorable Review and Giveaway

Kidorable has some of the most...well adorable products I've ever seen. Their line of kids rain gear and accessories are so creative and unique. Everything is made in bright bold colors. All of their products can be purchased separately or you can purchase the whole matching set. There are dinosaurs, butterflies, frogs , bees and so much more.

Kidorable sent us a wonderful box full of goodies. As soon as I opened the box, J's first reaction was "OH. MY. GOSH!" His face lit up when he saw his new Fireman Raincoat! . J loves all things Fireman. For his last birthday party the theme was firemen so you can only imagine the true excitement. We also received the matching Fireman boots and umbrella.

It hasn't rained since we received our products but that hasn't stopped J from wearing everything. We've had a lot of guests lately and J has been so excited to show off all of his new fireman gear.

My favorite part of the fireman raincoat is the hood. It's just like a fireman's hat, so not only does it look more authentic but the brim makes it easy for rainwater to rolls off rather then drip into his face.

The Fireman Rainboots are just adorable! They are made of natural rubber to keep his feet nice and dry. This is J's first pair of rainboots. I'm not quiet sure why I haven't thought about buying him a pair before because he loves to jump in every puddle he sees. I've actually heard they are good for snow too since snowboots can still get wet. I plan on trying them out next time it snows.

WIN IT!

"Look Who's Coming..." Personalized Book Review & Giveaway

Designed for children ages 8 months and up, “Look Who is Coming…” is a charming, interactive tale that is personalized for each child via the inclusion of photos of friends, family and other special people in the child’s life by simply sliding a photo into the built-in tabs. “Look Who is Coming” also encourages your child to count, identify people, objects and colors and develop facial recognition and fine motor skills while following different friends along the way.

My kids love books and this one was extra special. Not just because you can put a picture of your child in it but because ou can also includes other family and friends. We've got family all over the country, some Baby L hasn't even met yet. It's been great looking through the colorful pictures with with him saying "Aunt Jenny" with a picture of her face. Look Who's Coming... also helps your child count. Each page has a new object to count such as, four birds and five ladybugs. The last page has a little mirror that says "I see a smile!" Baby L cracks up everytime I flip up the flap so he can see himself. I like the idea that I can easily change out the pictures so all of our family and friends can be included.

You can purchase your own copy of "Look Who's Coming..." from Amazon or you can WIN one right here! One Oh My Baby reader will win their own copy of "Look Who's Coming" by leaving me a comment by 11:59 p.m. January 6th. One random winner will be chosen and have 48 hours to respond. The Snowman's Song Book Review

The Snowman's Song,
written by Marilee Joy Mayfield and illustrations by Tracy La Rue Hohn is a new family favorite in our house. I received a copy of this book for review and I was excited to share it with my boys. J has always loved books and Baby L already loves looking at pictures. The illustrations in The Snowman's Song are beautiful. They're colorful and vibrant and easily catch your eye.

The story line is heartfelt and helps to teach its readers some wonderful lessons. The little snowman loves the sounds around him. All he wants is to be able to sing beautiful songs. Everyone, including his mother, tells him that because he's a snowman he will never be able to sing. One day a sweet girl finds him and teaches him that anything is possible as long as you believe in yourself. The kindness you show to others means more then you may even realize. We've been reading this book to J every night for the last week and plan to read it to my kids every year during the holidays.

You can buy your own copy of The Snowman's Song at www.snowmanssong.com. In the spirit of the holidays and gift giving season, for every book purchased, a book will be given to an underprivileged child. Each book also comes with a bonus audio CD of the author Marilee Joy Mayfield reading the story. The Snowman's Song is a Mom's Choice Gold Recipient for Best Holiday Book.

I received this product free of charge for a review on my blog. It was the only compensation I received. The views and opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way. Thank you to Leaping Antelope Productions for this opportunity.

Landmark Court Case Uncovers Savings for Moms

I received this information from Momselect and wanted to pass it on to you. I personally choose to breastfeed my children but with J, I had to supplement with formula for 4 months. I thought this information was very important for everyone because even if it doesn't apply to you, it may for someone you know.

Let us preface what we want to share with you with this- We are in no way endorsing formula over breastfeeding; however, we have learned that many moms are unnecessarily paying more for formula when they choose to bottle feed because of unfair advertising.

In a landmark federal court case, a jury verdict confirmed that Mead Johnson, the maker of Enfamil LIPIL Infant Formula, has engaged in false advertising by stating that store brand-infant formulas sold at Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens and other retailers, do not provide the same nutritional benefits as Enfamil.

The jury found that Enfamil advertisements were false and misleading, especially since store- brand formulas have the same nutrients at the same levels as Enfamil. In the process, they have exposed the truth about infant formula: store-brand infant formulas are nutritionally equivalent to, and confer the same developmental benefits as, the more expensive national brands like Enfamil. Buying a heavily marketed formula from a big pharmaceutical company does not get you any closer to breast milk.

So what does this mean to Moms? It means they could have been saving up to $600 a year by using store brand formulas, which cost half as much as Enfamil LIPIL and other national brands.

We want to be very clear that by sending you this information MomSelect and Oh My Baby are not suggesting that formula feeding is the best available option for infant nutrition; breast milk is best for babies. The purpose of this message is to make sure that Moms realize that store-brand infant formulas are nutritionally equivalent to, and confer the same developmental benefits as, the more expensive national brands like Enfamil

Oh how I love this little guy!

Tuesday

I love this time of year! The decorations and holiday cheer just put me in the best mood. With the holidays comes tasty treats, right? I participated in a blogger secret Santa swap (I'll have an official post on that later on) and I wanted to share with you one of my wonderful gifts. It was a book called S'mores Gourmet Treats for Every Occasion. I couldn't wait to try everything in this book. The first recipe I tried was Emma's Pound Cake Spectacular. How delicious does this look?

This isn't your ordinary s'more. It was amazing! I roasted the marshmallows on my gas stove ha! If you're a marshmallow lover like I am or need a stocking stuffer, this is perfect!

Merry SITSmas!!

Holiday Extravaganza - Lunch Punch Review and Giveaway

I know I'm not the only one out there with a toddler who would rather do anything than eat. I've been looking around for ideas on how to make mealtime more fun. At Halloween, I made ghost pancakes, I make smiley faces out of vegetables at dinner, I'll even top something with a little extra whipped cream if it will help him eat more. This usually lasts through maybe 3-4 bites and then the excitement is over and he runs off.

The Lunch Punch® is a food cutter specifically designed to capture the most amount of bread when it cuts the crust off your sandwich. A fun lunch with minimum waste. The Lunch Punch® is taller than cookie cutters, making it easy to cut through two pieces of bread and spread while still keeping sandwiches light and fluffy. Plus, The Lunch Punch® is kid friendly and dishwasher safe.

We were thrilled when we received the Match & Munch and Critter Cutters to review. Like I've said before, J loves colorful things and these were no exception. They were bright green and orange. J's favorite color is green so of course he wanted to try those first with the Match & Munch set. This set includes 4 interactive puzzle pieces you can mix and match and then munch. The sandwich cutters were easy to use. My favorite part about them was that they cut off the crust. J hates crust and I'm always having to cut it off myself. Once I punched out the sandwich the crust was cut gone. J loved eating the puzzle pieces and thought it was funny to take bites and laugh that he had "broken" his puzzle piece. I'm not lying when I say he actually ate two sandwiches for lunch!

The Critter Cutters are big cutters that fit JUMBO size bread. With 4 unique animal shapes including a butterfly, dog and dog house, elephant and whales. The VrrRRMM! Vehicle Set and The Landwich Range featuring different continents are coming soon!

One Oh My Baby reader will WIN both the Mix & Munch and Critter Cutters sets. Leave me your comment by December 29th. One random winner will be chosen and have 48 hours to respond.

Anti Monkey Butt Review & Giveaway

Did I get your attention? Did you laugh out loud when you read my title? I laugh every time I say it. Go ahead just say it. Anti. Monkey. Butt.

Now before you start having any crazy thoughts let me tell you what Anti Monkey Butt is, straight from their site.

What is "monkey butt"?

To start, it's not always called "monkey butt." It depends on what region of the country you're in, and how the sport you participate in has tagged the condition. For motorcycle riders who DO call it "monkey butt," it's a blue collar term used by riders to describe the soreness, itching and redness that occurs when you ride and sweat on a motorcycle for hours. If your butt is so sore that you have to walk bowlegged like a monkey, you have Monkey Butt!

Unlike other powders, Anti-Monkey Butt has calamine and talc which gives it a cooling sensation instead of the burning that you might get from other products.

Dear Hubby isn't a motorcycle rider but he is an athlete. He plays soccer year round and softball and flag football in their respective seasons. He's experienced "monkey butt" but this is the first time we've heard it by that name. He said Anti Monkey Butt worked great absorbing the excess sweat from all of his physical activity.

This would make a perfect stocking stuffer for that sweaty...I mean sweet man in your life. Ladies don't feel left out because there is a Lady Anti Monkey Butt. It delivers the same great results only it's made with calamine and cornstarch. Perfect for relieving frictional discomfort that women often experience when using exercise equipment, running, driving, cycling or just walking (even discomfort from bras).

One Oh My Baby reader will WIN 1 bottle of Anti Monkey Butt and 1 bottle of Lady Anti Monkey Butt.

Visit Anti Monkey Butt and leave me a comment telling me one thing you learned.

Holiday Extravaganza - Hello Hanna Review & Giveaway

Hello Hanna is launching their premiere product - Get Set Placemats. If you're kids are anything like mine, keeping them occupied at the table while waiting for their food is a tiresome chore. J is bored of the same old crayons and coloring pages offered at most restaurants. At home, it's hard to keep him at the table to finish his food before he runs away to play with toys.

Hello Hanna's Get Set Placemats offer all kinds of opportunities for creative play. Get Set Placemats have a pop up character on each placemat that your kids can decorate with matching stickers. The placemats also have pictures to show where your plate, cup and utensils go. Made of heavyweight uncoated cardstock, they are sturdy enough to last through mealtime and disposable to help make cleanup a snap. On the back of each placemat is an activity area for kids to draw on. There are 3 designs to choose from, Hello Jungle, Hello Me and Hello Robot.

J had so much fun dressing up his Panda. He actually stayed at the table while the rest of us finished our dinner. I wish Get Set Placemats were a little easier to take to a restaurant though. It's hard to fold them up to take on the go because it causes a hard crease. However, they are perfect for meals at home. J had some friends over for a playdate and the Get Set Placemats were a hit while the kids ate lunch.

Want to WIN your own set of Hello Hanna's Get Set Placemats? One random Oh My Baby Reader will win a set of placemats in their choice of Hello Me, Hello Jungle or Hello Robot. Leave your comment by December 26th. One random winner will be chosen and have 48 hours to respond.

Holiday Extravaganza - 3M & Post-it Review and Giveaway

3M and Post-it are launching a new category of labeling products including Post-it Removable Labels and 3M Permanent Labels.

The Post-it Removable Labels collection includes repositionable super sticky labels and perforated label pads for easy application in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes. Post-it labels have a full adhesive back that sticks to nearly all surfaces and removes cleanly. The Removable Collection includes, name badges, file folder labels, full sheet labels and color-coding labels.

The 3M Permanent Labels collection is available in a range of sizes and quantities. The new line offers solutions for all shipping, mailing and filing needs including address and return address labels, shipping labels and recycled address labels, made from 100% postconsumer content.

3M and Post-it are brand names my family knows and loves. They make so many different products that we use in our everyday lives. I was lucky enough to receive several of their products for review including some from their new line of labeling products. What I love most about Post-it's line of products are the vibrant colors you can choose from. Kids love color and mine are no exception. The bright orange and blue Post-it Super Sticky Removeable Labels caught J's eye right away. I used them to label his toy bins, hoping he helps to clean up a little more...wishful thinking? I am using 3M's Permanent Labels for shipping my packages this holiday season. I won't have to worry about any labels falling off.

From the office to your home, Post-it Removable Labels and 3M Permanent Labels help to organize your life. You can use them to clearly label items in your pantry or fridge, color code family member's schedules or organizing your desk area.

Want to get a little organized? One Oh My Baby reader will WIN your own package of Post-it Label Pads ($30 value).

Holiday Extravaganza - Snugfits Review and Giveaway

With the holiday season upon us, I know everyone is in full shopping mode. If you're looking for some unique baby gifts for a special little one this year, Snugfits is your answer. Snugfits' cute and funny onesies will put a smile on anyone's face.

You can completely customize your Snugfit tee by choosing the color of your snapsuit, lap tee or long sleeve lap tee. Then you choose your quote and the color you would like it printed in. I chose the blue long sleeved lap tee for Baby L with the most fitting quote, "Must put in mouth". I've started calling Baby L, "Puppy" because he's constantly chewing on everything. I mean everything. Just yesterday I caught him trying to chew the corner of my coffee table. Really? The lap tee is so soft and perfect for "Puppy's" sensitive skin. The quote put a smile on our faces when we saw it.

Sizes come in 0-3 months through 18-24 months. The fabrics are all 100% combed cotton and far softer then any of Baby L's other tees. There are so many quotes to choose from. Some funny, some edgy and some a little rock and roll. Here are a few of my other favorites

Want to WIN one? The generous people of Snugfits is offering 1 Oh My Baby reader their own choice of tee. Simply leave your comment by December 21st. One random winner will be chosen and have 48 hours to respond.
