Precious One: An Ultrasound Keepsake Review & Giveaway

While pregnant, Cathy Luke and her husband found that having an ultrasound performed was a thrilling part of pregnancy. This was the first glimpse of a new life, an exciting time when the heart could be seen, fingers and toes counted, and finding out that they were having a girl! The ultrasound photos they received were proudly shown off to family and friends and kept safe in an envelope! With no special place to keep their baby's ultrasound photos, Cathy created "Precious One". Expecting parents now have a place to cherish their baby's first keepsake. Cathy lives in Michigan with her family.

When Cathy first contacted me to review her book Precious One: An Ultrasound Keepsake, my first thought was, "Of course, what a 'precious' idea!" Then my second thought was, "Oh man, where are my ultrasound pictures??" After some searching, I found one in my address book, a few in my sock drawer and the rest in a side pocket in one of my purses. I remember how amazing those doctor appointments were, seeing our babies for the time and when we found out both were boys. I felt terrible that I hadn't taken better care of these precious pictures.
When Precious One arrived the first thing that caught my eye was the picture of the most adorable baby feet on the cover. The first page is for your ultrasound pictures and precious moments like "First felt movement on" and "First heard heartbeat on". As you flip through the pages follow the ribbon from pregnancy to birth with a beautiful poem. The last page has a spot for your birth photo and baby's stats. I love how compact the book is so it's easy to carry around and show off my pictures.

Hasbro Buckaroo Game Review

Hasbro has introduced a new line of licensed games based on the recently released, Toy Story 3 movie. Family classic games such as Operation, Buckaroo, Yahtzee Jr., and Memory have all been updated with a Toy Story twist. Kids of all ages will love playing these new games with Woody, Jessie, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the gang.

I was always a fan of the Toy Story movies and now J is too. We received Buckaroo Featuring Toy Story 3's Bullseye for review.

We all had a great time playing Buckaroo, trying to get all the pieces onto Bullseye's saddle before he bucked throwing everything off of him. You never know what will set him off kicking. The pieces include a riding boot, hat, guitar, lantern and more. This was an easy game for J to learn and we played it over and over again. J's favorite part was when Bullseye would buck and all the pieces would go flying. He just thought it was hilarious!

Hasbro encourages family time with National Family Game Night. This is a great opportunity to turn of the TV, computers and cell phones and sit around the table with you family playing some of Hasbro's classic games. Mark you calendar because this year's National Family Game Night is September 29th!

CSN Stores Review - Oster Blender

CSN Stores is an amazing online site with over 200+ online stores. When I say you can literally find everything here I mean everything. You can shop for furniture, bikes, luggage, carseats and everything in between.

CSN Stores sponsored a giveaway on my blog several months ago and it was a hit. This time around
I was the lucky one to get to review one of their products. We were in the market for a new blender so this came at the perfect time. I chose the Oster 12- Speed Glass Jar Blender in black. I was so excited when the box arrived at my doorstep but then was so disappointed when I picked up the box. Without even having to open it I heard a million small broken glass pieces rolling around.

Well what better way to learn about a company then by dealing with their customer service. I contacted CSN Stores and told them about my broken blender. Without a hesitation, I got an apology (even though it was pretty obvious the item got damaged during transit) and a new blender was sent out immediately. The new box arrived on my doorstep a few days later, in perfect condition. Talk about great customer service.

I first tried the Oster Blender to make salsa. It came out just the wait I like it. Tomatoes and cilantro are pretty easy to blend up so I decided to give it a bigger test...a fruit smoothie. The boys love fruit smoothies and drink them year round so I needed a product that could do the job right everytime. It crushed up the ice into a smooth smoothie (ha!) just the way the boys like them. The fruit was chopped small enough I wouldn't have to worry about L choking on any pieces and everything fit through their straws without any clumps.

Kung Zhu Hamsters Review & Giveaway

J loved Zhu Zhu Pets. Who didn't? They were the hottest toy of the Christmas season last year. When J started seeing the commercials for Kung Zhu, he immediately started asking for them. So I was obviously thrilled when I was asked if I wanted to review them.

J loved all the different training playsets. His favorite was the battle arena. He spent hours battling the Kung Zhu pets.
