On your mark! Get set! Go! Wubbzy, the cute and quirky bendy-tailed star of the Emmy Award®-winning Nick Jr. TV series Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, is pumped up and ready to go for gold in the newest installment of the best-selling DVD series from Anchor Bay Entertainment! Starring Michelle Kwan as Michelle Kwanzleberry and Tiki Barber as Touchdown Tiki, “Go for Gold” shoots for the stars with a high-energy, fun-filled collection of athletic-themed episodes that will get kids and families laughing, singing, and moving along. “Go for Gold” scores at retail nationwide, Tuesday, February 16, 2010.

“Wuzzleburg welcomes Michelle Kwan and Tiki Barber, accomplished world-class athletes who are committed to working with children and teaching the importance of hard work and having fun. Michelle Kwan is the most decorated figure skater in U.S. history and she has earned her place among the all-time greats in sports. Tiki Barber is a three-time Pro Bowl NFL star and children’s book author. Wubbzy and his friends are happy to welcome them both to Wuzzleburg,” said Susan Miller, President of Bolder Media and an Executive Producer of the series.

“Go for Gold” (SRP $16.98) gives young Wubb fans a front-row seat as Wubbzy joins a hoopty-hoops team, learns that being small need not get in the way of being a champion, and that playing fair is the only way to truly win.

In “Run for Fun,” one of seven fun-filled episodes on the new DVD, everyone in Wuzzleburg is so excited that the Wuzzolympic Games are coming to town – especially because this year’s official coach is none other than the record-shattering Michelle Kwanzzleberry (Michelle Kwan)! Wubbzy and his pals get geared up to compete in the big event, the Wuzzleburg Wacky Dash, and Michelle advises them to prepare, practice, and have fun! While Wubbzy, Widget, and Walden all devise shortcuts they hope will help them reach the finish line the fastest, Daizy helps her friends – and young viewers – learn that slow and steady wins the race!

The DVD also features Touchdown Tiki (Tiki Barber), the best footy-football player EVER! In the episode “What a Card,” Wubbzy and Daizy both want to round out their footy-football card collections with the very rare Touchdown Tiki card. When their buddy Earl unwittingly gets it, they both try to become his best friend in hopes that he will offer them the coveted card.

The new 82-minute DVD features special coloring and activity pages and music videos to get kids moving.

Scholastic will help to pole-vault the Olympic-themed fun even further with a colorful new 8x8 paperback book inspired by the sporty stories on “Go for Gold.”

The top-rated Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! supports preschool social skills – sharing, listening, compromising, helping and appreciating others, self-awareness and the use of humor as a coping skill. Although their world is more fanciful and imaginative than our own, Wubbzy, Daizy, Widget, and Walden deal with the same social and developmental issues faced by preschoolers. They learn how they fit into the group, how to understand their own feelings and those of others, and how to get along with one another.

J already liked the original Air Bud movie so you can only imagine how excited he was when he saw Air Bud: Golden Receiver. He gets so excited watching Buddy running around the football field and actually pretends he is buddy and throws his own little football around the living room. "The Accidental Husband" Movie Review

Sony Pictures just released the comedy, The Accidental Husband on DVD November 10th. This film stars Uma Thurman as Dr Emma Lloyd, a relationship expert and radio talk show host. Fire Fighter Patrick Sullivan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan (you may remember him from Grey's Anatomy), seeks revenge on Dr Lloyd, after she advises his fiancee to break off their engagement. As revenge, Patrick (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) forges a fake marriage license marrying him and Emma (Uma Thurman) who is already engaged to Richard (Colin Firth) in hopes to ruin her relationship as well.

Dear Hubby and I get don't get a lot of alone time so I was excited to receive this movie for review. We made plans 3 days in advance to put the kids to bed at a decent hour, have the chores done and computers off. It's not often I get to watch something that isn't on Disney Channel or Nick Jr these days. We popped some popcorn and sat ourselves down on the couch.

I don't want to go into too great of detail and risk giving too much of the movie away but here is my honest opinion. In the beginning, Emma was an uptight and proper "love doctor" and I felt Uma went a little overboard playing her character that she started to annoy me. She definitely loosened up as the movie went on and I grew to like her. There were a few scenes that seemed a little cliche. Patrick (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) was like-able and you actually felt bad for the guy not only because his fiancee dumps him but also how he finds out. There were several laugh-out-loud funny scenes that helped bring the movie together.

Overall, I enjoyed the movie. Dear Hubby did too. In fact, his exact words were "Decent movie. I didn't fall asleep once so that's a good sign". Words of a true movie critic. It was a nice comedy and cute date movie. Now that it's on DVD, you can enjoy it in the comforts of your own couch and spend some good quality time with a certain someone. Perfect stocking stuffer size for the upcoming holiday season too.
