What I know now that I wish I knew before motherhood...

life goes on. Life goes on if the laundry doesn't get done today...or tomorrow. Life goes on if you don't pick up the toys tonight...because they're going to get pulled out again in a few hours. It is more important to me to sit on the floor and plays cars with my son then to make sure the dishwasher gets emptied. Don't get me wrong my house is not dirty I'm just not a clean freak. I clean as I go but if I don't get to something because I'm taking my son to the park instead I'm not going to worry about it. When my son was first born I would go crazy over everything and it's order or it's place. Now after 2 years I've realized life still goes on if it doesn't get done right away. There are so many other more important things to do then to sweat the small stuff.

I loved this post. I think it is SO important for us moms to realize that as long as our kids have love and structure, the rest just really doesn't matter that much. I keep reminding myself "To everything there is a season. A time to clean, and a time to just play with the kids." Someday soon I will be all alone in this house again and there will be plenty of time to dust the mantle. But now - now is the only time that they will be young and here with me. Thank you for such a lovely post. I really like your blog! Would love to have you visit mine when you have a free minute...www.supermomcentral.blogspot.com. Take Care!
