The Snowman's Song Book Review
The Snowman's Song, written by Marilee Joy Mayfield and illustrations by Tracy La Rue Hohn is a new family favorite in our house. I received a copy of this book for review and I was excited to share it with my boys. J has always loved books and Baby L already loves looking at pictures. The illustrations in The Snowman's Song are beautiful. They're colorful and vibrant and easily catch your eye.
The story line is heartfelt and helps to teach its readers some wonderful lessons. The little snowman loves the sounds around him. All he wants is to be able to sing beautiful songs. Everyone, including his mother, tells him that because he's a snowman he will never be able to sing. One day a sweet girl finds him and teaches him that anything is possible as long as you believe in yourself. The kindness you show to others means more then you may even realize. We've been reading this book to J every night for the last week and plan to read it to my kids every year during the holidays.
You can buy your own copy of The Snowman's Song at www.snowmanssong.com. In the spirit of the holidays and gift giving season, for every book purchased, a book will be given to an underprivileged child. Each book also comes with a bonus audio CD of the author Marilee Joy Mayfield reading the story. The Snowman's Song is a Mom's Choice Gold Recipient for Best Holiday Book.
I received this product free of charge for a review on my blog. It was the only compensation I received. The views and opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way. Thank you to Leaping Antelope Productions for this opportunity.
