Mommy Parties Pregnancy 2.0

I can't begin to tell you how lucky I was to be chosen to participate in Mommy Parties sponsored by Pregnancy 2.0. I just had my third baby a short 8 months ago and with each child it was a brand new experience. So I invited several of my new and expecting mommy friends over for a little brunch and fun. I brought out all of the products for everyone to try out. There was a lot of 'ooooohhhh' and 'ahhhhh-ing'. One of my favorite products is the Britax B-Agile Stroller. I've been through several styles and brands of strollers over the past few years and I can honestly say this is definitely my favorite one I've owned! I loved how lightweight this stroller is at only 16.5 lbs. I can easily pick it up and put it in the back of my SUV with one hand. The seat reclines all the way down so Baby M can easily nap in it. Like most strollers the basket underneath isn't huge but it's open on all sides and not blocked by a bar or anything so it can hold larger bags. There is also an additional large zippered pocket attached to the back. The stroller maneuvers around smoothly which has helped a lot when L wants to be held while I'm pushing Baby M around. It also comes with a large canopy to block the sun. My biggest con would be no cup holders. But I think that's a con with many strollers. Cup holders are usually an additional cost.

The Britax Baby Carrier had something I hadn't seen before...a seat extender insert. This is used with the Britax Baby Carrier once the infant insert is not longer needed. It allows growing children to sit comfortably in the carrier facing inward which is a natural position rather than facing outward. Baby M is a total snuggler so he loves this position! Another favorite perk about this baby carrier is that it includes a burp cloth cover! I loved this because my old carrier never had one and all my babies love to suck and chew on the edge of the dirty carrier. This removable burp cloth makes it easy to wash over and over again.

BabyPlus sent a Prenatal Education System. I've always heard playing music for baby in the womb is supposed to help make them smarter but I hadn't heard of an actual prenatal education system before. "BabyPlus is designed to strengthen your baby's development with patented, scientifically designed audio lessons". BabyPlus parents have reported their babies at birth and infancy more readily nurse, have an increased ability to self-soothe, are more active and responsive and are more relaxed and alert at birth. I picked a name out of a hat and my sweet friend Sarah won the BabyPlus Prenatal Education System. She's due with baby number 3 early next year!

Rashti & Rashti makes a line of Snuggle Buddies that are just adorable! They are a security blanket and toy all in one. Each toy is a cute animal, monster, or doll. The body is a soft snugly blanket. Snuggle Buddies are small enough for baby to take anywhere. There is also a rattle that adds to baby's stimulation. Look at how cute Baby C was with her Snuggle Buddy.

The party continued at home as each guest received a fun goody bag filled with products from Spry including their gum, saline nasal spray with xylitol, tooth gel and coupons. There was also information, coupons and discounts from BabyPlus and Britax

When coming up with dinner ideas I usually get stumped with matching side dishes. I always make sure to have at least one vegetable with every dinner. If my kids could have it their way, they would be on a pasta diet. Pasta is the one thing I can always get my kids to eat no matter what.

Seventh Generation Diapers Review & Giveaway

We received a pack of Seventh Generation Free & Clear diapers to try. As a mother of 3, two of who are still in diapers I have tried several different brands and varieties of diapers. At first glance, the diapers look a little boring. They are an ivory colored diaper with no fun cartoon designs that other brands have. L noticed right away they looked different from his regular diapers. I have to say that was basically the only downfall to the diapers for us. I had never used Seventh Generation brand diapers before but they held up well for L throughout the day. They were absorbent and we didn't have any leaks. They didn't bulge up when wet either. It's a nice plus knowing they are better for the environment because like I said before I have 2 kids in diapers and that really takes my fair share of waste.

Kidz Bop 20 Review & GIVEAWAY

Not to mention these kids can really sing! It was nice we could agree on the same music as the boys and again not have to worry about the lyrics they were hearing.

Costume Discounters Reviews

I don't know a single child who doesn't love to play pretend and dress up. My boys are no exception! They wear their Halloween costumes year round. When Costume Discounters contacted me about reviewing a costume the hardest decision was what costume to choose.

Costume Discounters has costumes for boys and girls of all ages. J went back and forth between several choices and finally decided on the Fire Fighter Costume. He was so excited when it arrived he immediately changed into it.

The fireman costumes come with pants, a jacket and hood. Unfortunately the helmet wasn't included but we already have a few helmets lying around so J didn't mind too much. The costume was easy for J to put on and take off himself. L was even able to dress himself in it even though it was a pretty big on him.

Don't let the company's name Costume Discounters fool you. The fireman costume itself was good quality. Most importantly it's machine washable! Any mother knows how important that is especially when your child wants to wear something almost everyday. As rough as my boys are with their things this costume will be able to be worn over and over again.

When I first found out I was pregnant I went on a hunt for all of the best baby products. Carseats were at the top of my list. Nothing is more important than your child's health and safety. Since I'm constantly on the go, car safety is very important.

I had never used the brand before and was very curious about the product. First, I went to RECARO's website for all of their latest and greatest info. Then I started doing my own research and finding reviews from real parents who have used the products. I have always felt you get the best info and honest reviews from real parents who use the products in their daily lives. I must have read through several dozen reviews on many different sites and to be honest, I did not find a single negative review. It was nothing but wonderful reviews and comments, one after another. So you can only imagine my excitement to try RECARO's carseat grew.


Both J and L were thrilled when the giant box arrived. Once we got the carseat out of the box they both needed a turn to try it out. I was very impressed with this carseat. It was strong and sturdy. I liked that you could use this carseat both rear facing (5-35 lbs) and forward facing (20-70 lbs.). RECARO has so many premium features to their proseries carseat including premium side impact protection, EPS energy absorbing foam, cool mesh air ventilation and RECARO's own seat structure design that has the highest weight limit available using the 5 point harness. In a nutshell, RECARO took everything they know about seating safety and miniaturized it and made it easy for parents on the go. The installation was simple to understand and I liked the true lock belt lock-off for added safety in the forward position. The turn of a knob adjusts the head restraint to fit each child. RECARO Side Impact Protection Protects 5 vulnerable areas of your child during a side impact collision, Head, Face, Torso, Neck and Pelvis.

Donsuemor Cookies Review & GIVEAWAY

Starting with an original French recipe, Don and Susie Morris (DON-SUE-MOR) introduced madeleines to their Berkeley community in 1976. Donsuemor cookies are delicious and wholesome cookies and tea cakes, made with the finest all natural ingredients. It is the mission of Donsuemor to surprise and delight everyday with their desserts. You might have seen their cookies in some coffee shops or specialty stores.

Donsuemor started with Madeleines, an elegant french cake with a distinctive shell shape. Their line of cookies has since expanded into Chocolate Madeleines, Lemon Zest Madeleines, Chocolate Dipped Madeleines, French Almond Cakes and Chocolate and Vanilla Cute Cakes

Who doesn't love a tasty treat?? I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to try Donsuemor's line of cookies and tea cakes. I was even more exited when I received my package and saw all of the delicious goodness that came.
My two favorite (I had a hard time choosing just one!) treats were the Lemon Zest Madeleines and the Chocolate Cute Cakes. I love lemon desserts so the Lemon Zest Madeleines were an obvious choice. Both treats were moist and flavorful. The extra sprinkles topping on the Chocolate Cute Cakes made a nice crunch with the creamy icing. My mother in law was visiting and she had a chance to try Donsuemor's cookies as well. She really enjoyed the Madeleines and French Almond Cakes with her coffee in the mornings.

Nutella Hazelnut Spread Review

About
Nutella is a tasty hazelnut spread that contains simple quality ingredients such as skim milk and a hint of cocoa.
Each jar 13 oz jar of Nutella contains more than 50 hazelnuts.
Nutella does not contain any hydrogenated oil or trans fat.
It is low in sodium compared to other popular nut butters.
Nutella contains no artificial colors or preservatives.

My family have been long time fans of Nutella. We eat it often on breads and graham crackers. It's one of our best options for J who has a peanut allergy. The spread does not contain peanuts or peanut ingredients, nor does the product come in contact with peanuts during manufacturing. Nutella spread is rich and creamy and tastes delicious.

I took suggestions from the Nutella spread Breakfast Bar for my friends to try Nutella on different items. I had bagels, a variety of fresh fruit, crusty french bread, waffles, and tortillas. The overall favorites were Nutella dipped strawberries and the Nutella breakfast roll ups. The roll ups were super easy to make and delicious. Simply spread Nutella on a whole wheat tortilla and sprinkle with dried cherries and chopped apricots, roll up and eat. This can be done with a variety of fruit. I used cranberries in mine because I love them and already had a bag on hand. The tartness of the cranberries and sweetness of the Nutella made a fabulous combination! (Despite my terrible picture taking skills)

My friends were excited to receive a goodie bag of Nutella products when they were leaving. Their bags included sample packs of Nutella, coupons, spreaders, a tumbler mug and breakfast tips and info card.

JELL-O Temptations - At Home Kits

I recently told you about Temptations by JELL-O cups and now you can make them at home. These no bake desserts can be whipped up in minutes, literally! You can choose from 3 delicious flavors

The Boston Creme Pie was my favorite. I'm already a fan of the cake version and this dessert did not disappoint. The entire dessert took 30 mins and that included refrigeration time. I whisked in my milk, poured the mix into a dish and topped it with the chocolate packet. I was a little worried the topping was going to be thin and runny but after a little bit of time in the fridge it formed a firm shell topping. The filling was smooth and creamy and the chocolate shell melted in my mouth. It was delicious and tasted so much like a regular Boston Creme Pie cake minus most of the calories but none of the flavor.

CSN Stores Review - Pizza

I'm at it again! I had another opportunity to work with CSN Stores and once again they did not disappoint.

We love pizza! Honestly, who doesn't?! My kids are big fans and eat it every chance they get. Lately, it's gotten harder and harder to go out to restaurants as a family because the boys are too wild and being 9 months pregnant I just don't have the energy to chase them down. I realized one day how easy and fun making pizzas at home are. The boys love playing with the dough and choosing their own toppings. We all like a thin crispy crust for our pizzas and I could never get it quiet right. There's just something about those fancy brick ovens that make a delicious thin and crispy crust that is too hard to copy at home. I tried different dough recipes, tricks, and pizza pans. None of them came out quiet right.

While browsing CSN Stores' thousands of products, I came across a pizza stone. Duh?! Why hadn't I thought of a pizza stone before? I've tried several pizza pans, with and without holes and none of them gave us the crisp crust we love. I read reviews and figured why not try it.

I ordered this Pizza Stone and the matching Pizza Paddle. The pizza stone went into the oven to preheat while we made our pies. I rolled out the dough onto the pizza paddle and let the kids choose their toppings. BBQ chicken pizza is our favorite. The dough easily slipped off of the paddle onto the preheated pizza stone in the oven (please ignore the shape of the pizza, I need a little more practice moving it from paddle to ston). About 20 mins later we had a delicious, crispy thin crust pizza! The stone makes a world of difference when trying to get that crispy crust. J even said it was his new favorite pizza!

I was sent a Proactive Comfort Pillow for review. I've always been kind of a pillow snob. I'm very picky about having a pillow that isn't too soft (like goosedown) or too hard/firm. It has to be the right thickness too so my neck isn't sore in the morning. Being pregnant has made sleeping pretty difficult over the past few months. We actually fight over this pillow at night now, but I usually win!

I had the pleasure of reviewing Ice Breakers Frost in Peppermint. I loved it! I love a strong mint that lasts in your mouth after the mint is gone. At first taste, you get the flavor crystals which I think of as a signature of Ice Breakers. When you get to the core, it was refreshing and tingly, just the way I like my mints. The container snaps shut so I know the mints aren't going to fall out all over my purse. I enjoyed this mint and will be purchasing more when I run out.
