Sports Authority is teaming up with Nintendo to create a new way to experience fitness gaming. To launch this exciting event, Sports Authority in Torrance, CA (3610 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, CA) is hosting an event this Thursday, November 19th starting at 9:30am. This event will feature Jillian Michaels, from "The Biggest Loser" and giveaways including Jillian's new Wii game "Fitness Ultimatum 2010" and Wii Fit Plus Boards as well as other prizes from Nintendo, Sports Authority and Nike. There will also be the “world’s largest Wii Fit Plus” demonstration featuring 102 people. Jillian will be part of the demonstration, doing what she does best – showing folks how to get in shape!
The collaboration will allow Sports Authority to sell Wii gaming consoles, Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus, as well as various accessories and games for the Wii, in its stores. Although I would love the game for myself, in the spirit of Christmas, I have to say the balance board as a gift for my mom & dad. They recently started Weight Watchers and are trying to get into shape but my dad's recent knee surgery limits the activities he can do and I think the Balance Board is perfect for him!
